Car stereo? Who needs it?
I do! I recently went on a long drive by my lonesome and immediately regretted not having the right car stereo for the task. Can you imagine how boring it becomes to listen to static on a 5 ½ hour trip? Not wanting to experience the same thing on the drive back, I immediately purchased a better car audio system as soon as I saw a shop. It is better than my busted stereo and I wouldn’t have to fall asleep imagining music that is non-existent in the general vicinity of my car.
Looking at it from a different perspective, I know that I do not need a car stereo in order for my car to be functional, but not having music made me want it. A quiet car when you are thinking is very much welcome, but you do not want to think too hard anyway because you need your focus to be on the road and how to navigate your car in order for you not to crash into something… or someone. So just to keep my brain from melting out of my ears in monotony, I’ll suffer through all these high-pitched pre-pubescent boys singing about their “baby.” Heck, even the babble that radio jocks make in between songs made me feel a whole lot better.
Maybe that’s the reason why car stereos have become standard equipment in automobiles as well as trucks, and buses. Nowadays, the options available are in the additional sound system equipment, including the number of speakers and their location within the vehicle. This is what gives the vehicle occupants the sound experience that they want.
